The Associate Degree of Technical and Vocational Education at Human Resource University is designed to respond to the labor market and in line with the momentum of economic growth, investment and business activities in Cambodian society, especially in response to the goals of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport in building human resources and skilled labors with the potential to meet the demands of job and business markets. This program focuses mainly on four prioritized specialties which include Business Management, Accounting, Marketing, and English. It is also intended to build specialized skills for trainees and enable them to get employment opportunities and experience for their job and business quickly. Graduates of this program will be able to work in public institutions, private sector, civil society and other organizations as assistants or skilled workers in the field of work related to their skills.

Admission to this program bases mainly on the general knowledge of the applicants. They may pass or fail the National Baccalaureate Exam, hold a Certificate of Technical and Vocational Education 3 (level4), or have a Certificate of Foundation Year (or others which are deemed equivalent).

The Associate Degree of Technical and Vocational Education is designed to provide trainees with foundation of knowledge, skills, and experiences as the followings:
– To build foundation of knowledge and expertise related to their skills to meet the needs of jobs in relevant institutions, careers and personal businesses;
– To provide foundation of work experiences which enable them to quickly adapt to the business environment;
– To contribute to the development of human resources with the Royal Government of Cambodia in order to alleviate the poverty of the people through early work and personal businesses
– To develop trainees the sense of high responsibly and being well-prepared for job opportunities
– To prepare trainees to continue their study at Bachelor’s Degree and subsequent levels.

Upon graduation, trainees will gain Knowledge, Cognitive Skills, Interpersonal Skills and Responsibility, Numerical Skills, Information Technology, Communication Skills, and Psychomotor Skills as the followings:
– Able to explain theories, tools, and technical terminology on the specialty;
– Understand the fundamentals of administrative affairs and protocols in institutions and organizations;
– Carry out tasks effectively (roles, duties, responsibilities, and authorities) in their skills and areas in relevant institutions;
– Think and analyze the work involved in their skills critically;
– Use interpersonal skills to improve communication effectiveness when on the job;
– Work on calculation using various programs related to their skills;
– Use computers, calculators, equipment, and technological devices and programs related to their skills with fluency, accuracy, flexibility, intelligence, patience and enthusiasm;
– Comprehend and use English on their specialty;
– And other relevant knowledge.

The Associate Degree of Technical Education has a training period of two years. The curriculum is divided into three main groups: the first group, Basic Major Subjects; second group, Core Major Subjects; and third group, Subjects for General Education. The number of credits for each group may vary according to the skill.
